Our Last Week In Berlin

Hey y’all!!

So this week started out with youth groups Monday and Tuesday. We were able to play games and hang out with the kids and relate to them over these two days. It was awesome to be able to lead them in worship or share our testimonies with them because many of them are not Christians and do not come from Christian backgrounds. On Wednesday, we had kid’s ministry again. It was so exciting to see shy orphans feel comfortable enough with us to play games with us and have fun. It was great to see how open these kids are to us, even though we don’t speak the same language. Two girls in particular, Shantile and Selena, became particularly attached to us over these past three weeks and it was sad to say goodbye to them for the last time.

The next day we led a Young Adults Night. Most of the attendees were in their early twenties and we had the opportunity to be able to converse with that age group for the first time in Berlin. We performed our drama for the first time and it went great.  Miriam got to share a sermon that God put on her heart and then we led them in a time of worship. Afterwards, we all played games with them. It was awesome to be able to play Ninja with people who spoke little to no English and be able to have a good time with them. God really blessed us this week with all of our ministries and we were able to grow in our confidence in our faith and also our German.

The next day, we had a 12 hour worship day. This day is entitled a “Burn” and these days are held all over the city each week. People come and worship all day and it is a great opportunity to see God move. Our team was in charge of leading worship for 2 hours or so in the evening. We would be leaving for Czech Republic early the next day so we had to get up super early and get packed and clean as we wouldn’t be back until late. The 12 hours of worship was wonderful and it really gave our team a chance to spend time with God as we have been so busy lately. We were able to bond together as a team and practice our prophetic art as well.

This week went by really fast but it was awesome to have as many opportunities as we did to share God’s love. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we head to the Czech Republic this week. God has big things in store for this city and we are excited to be part of his plan.
